Orangetheory Fitness, the energizing and fast-growing fitness franchise, announces it will open a new studio location in Houston in the West University area on August 28. The West University studio will be located at 2511 Bissonnet Street near the intersection of Kirby and Bissonnet within Houston’s inner loop. This will be the franchises’ sixth Houston location and its first within the loop as the franchise continues to expand throughout the entire greater Houston area.

Led by franchise owner Jim Potesta, the new studio will celebrate its grand opening with a VIP party on August 27 from 6 – 8 p.m. The studio will open for classes the following morning at 5 a.m.

“We are extremely excited to bring Orangetheory Fitness inside the loop as Orangetheory continues to expand throughout the greater Houston area,” Potesta said. “This unique workout is helping Houstonians get into shape, lose weight and increase their energy levels and we’re thrilled introduce more people into the Orangetheory family.”

Potesta has plans to open another Houston location before the end of the year and will look to add up to 25 total franchise locations in the greater Houston market. Currently, Orangetheory has locations in the Pearland, Town and Country, San Felipe, Sugarland and Vintage Park areas.

Orangetheory Fitness has more than 250 studios in the U.S., Canada and U.K. and is growing rapidly throughout the world adding new studios every month. Orangetheory Fitness launched its first studio in Fort Lauderdale, FL. in March 2010, and has transformed into one of the world's top fitness franchises. The 60-minute, five zone heart-rate monitored interval training concept has helped tens of thousands of members lose weight, get toned and meet their overall fitness goals in a short amount of time. The fitness franchise is on track to open 600 studios by 2017.
